love for my country, my family, and a new life in the U.S.

I’m Mónica, a Peruvian living in Colorado. I came here for love, but leaving Peru meant missing my family, our Sunday meals, and the flavors that felt like home.

The recipe of Peruvian Cookie is my family’s heritage, rooted in the love and traditions of my grandparents. With every alfajor I bake, I remember where I come from and share those traditions in a sweet way.

Our cookies are small, but they carry big stories. Classic flavors mix with Peruvian ingredients like quinoa and purple corn—ingredients we grew up with in Peru, now turned into something special.

These alfajores connect people. They bring Peruvians back home, they help others discover our culture, and for me, they keep my roots alive while I build something new.
